The tender also includes the management contractor for construction on K2 to the 4th floor, including for plumbing (chapter 3) and electrical systems (chapter 4), but work on plumbing and electrical systems will be tendered separately.
The size of the new treatment center is approximately 70 thousand square meters, divided into 8 floors, of which 2 floors are underground (K1 and K2). This tender covers up to 55 thousand square meters in the treatment center, excluding inpatient wards on the 5th-6th floor. However, certain specially designated spaces will not be part of the interior finishing of this tender as their final design has not been completed or decisions have not been made on the implementation of the finishing.
The Purchaser reserves the right to enter into an agreement with the contractor for additional work, such as finishing in the specially designated areas that are not part of this tender and also for internal finishing and/or management contracting in an approximately 18 thousand square meter research building in accordance with the provisions of the Public Procurement Act.
The pre-selection is open to all qualified applicants and is advertised in Iceland and the European Economic Area (EEA) pursuant to Section 4, Article 23 of the Public Procurement Act No. 120/2016 (hereinafter abbreviated as “OIL”).
