It is hoped that the children’s pool and main pool at Vesturbæjarlaug will reopen to guests later after yet another temporary closure for repairs.
After extensive maintenance work last summer, the pool has had to close three times, among other reasons due to flaking paint and slippery pool steps.
In a statement from Reykjavíkurborg (City of Reykjavík), it is described as a temporary repair, but it is hoped that it will last through to the summer, when work on a permanent solution can be undertaken.
