Construction of a new preschool at Skólatröð in Kópavogur is about to begin, and the preschool is expected to be in use in the fall of 2026.
The preschool will have three classes for students aged two to six, and the number of children is expected to be around 60 most of the day. It is expected that fifteen to twenty full-time positions will be available in the preschool.
The building was designed by ASK architects, and Guðrún Ragna Yngvadóttir is the design director. Construction is being carried out by Sérverk, and Verksýn will be responsible for supervision.
