The group consists of three members of parliament, one from each government party, as well as representatives from the ministry and the Housing and Civil Engineering Institute. The group will operate for the remainder of the term in accordance with the new government’s priorities.

The role of the action group is primarily to map challenges in housing and submit proposals for action. The goal is for citizens to enjoy housing security and equality in housing and to create balance in the housing market.

“We announced urgent housing measures in the government’s policy statement, as the situation in the housing market cannot wait. It is also part of the review of housing policy and follow-up on the government’s commitment to facilitate the conclusion of collective agreements in the general labor market in February 2024.
